Several Wisconsin artists gave demonstrations for the Japanese public at the Saitama Museum of Modern Art.

Peggy Flora Zalucha demonstrates watercolor painting techniques.

Here she points out the different effects of watercolor on several different kinds of paper and other supports.

Peggy Thurston Farrell demonstrates the art of silk screening.

She pulls several prints from one inking to show the gradual softening effect of the image -- what she calls "ghosting."

Doug Haynes demonstrates his process of creating digital photo collages with his Photoshop program. The prints on the floor were created on a large format printer.

Fellow artist Steve Ballard (right) reads the description of Doug's process as Doug shows his process projected onto a screen for the audience.

Bonnie DeArteaga (shown here) and Chris Miles created a performance of dueling printmakers, assisted by Waverly Liu and others.
