The Americans were provided access to a fabulous Community Center kitchen in which to prepare their potluck foods.

Thanks to the Japanese ladies who assisted us in understanding the high-tech equipment.

The Japanese also prepared their foods and provided beverages.

A farewell feast . . .

. . . with good friends.

Lee Weiss sported her new Japanese fashion purchase.

A banquet table close-up.

The upstairs was hot but these smart ladies were smiling because they found the coolest spot in the house - directly under the air conditioner.

Michiko Yanagi received a plaque from the Wisconsin Painters & Sculptors, in grateful appreciation for her leadership. Yanagi-san and Ishihara-san relaxed.

Peggy Zalucha enjoyed the breezes on the Yanagis' lovely patio.

Minoru Ishihara, Yoko Nakamura, Tamlyn Akins, Fumiko Nozaki, and Caroline Greenwald (from left to right).

Once the party started to gear up. . .

. . . party animals united!
