Vigorous Vine was inspired by the wild Wood Vine which is invasive and stubborn in Wisconsin gardens, but is interesting to paint. It is matted in white and framed in silver metal, and was exhibited at the Inoue Gallery in the Ginza district of Tokyo in October 2002.
