Dishing It Out

The use of indigo blue in pottery and textile design is prevelant in Japan, and it's influence was imported into western Europe, and later to the Americas, as trade opened up from Asia. Dishing It Out is a result of my visits to Japan and also the city of Delft in the Netherlands (Holland), where I toured a factory which is famous for it's production of blue and white porcelain called "Delft ware". It is matted in off-white and framed in gold metal.
