I found these excellent specimens while visiting the Royal Greenhouses of the Queen of Belgium, hence the title, Queen's Camellias. They have been photographed, sketched, and painted multiple times as they continue to inspire me. This painting was rendered in soft pastel on a deep olive green paper. It is finished with a white matt and gold metal frame.
