I love sketching with black and white though I don't do it very often anymore. Black Shoes was inspired by side by side pairs of black pumps which belonged to me and my mother. I loved rendering the shine of rich leather. This piece is matted in light gray and framed in a decorative black and antique-gold wood frame.
