Phlox and Daisies I is an experiment in mixed media. Originally painted in watercolor, I later went back into it and sketched in colored pencil. And at a later time I went in again with oil pastels and brushed through it with mineral spirits. It was an interesting progression from a very high key piece into an artwork with much richer color. It is finished with a white mat and silver metal frame.
