Following a commission by an interior designer for a quilt painting to add to her kitchen display in the Kohler Company's Wisconsin showroom, I continued to paint a large series of tromp l'oeil (fool-the-eye) quilts. Since I had done hand stitched quilting in the past, the transition to painting one was a pleasant leap. Rambling Pair is a large painting which adds to the illusion that it is an actual quilt.
