Beach Debris I

Beach Debris I is the first in a series of paintings depicting beach debris collecting on the shores of northern Lake Michigan. Tamlyn enjoys the challenge of capturing the texture of sand and discarded items in their natural decaying state. They are not arranged but rather painted as she found them. This painting received two awards at the Midwest Watercolor Society Exhibition at the Neville Museum in Green Bay, Wisconsin 1987, and was purchased during the exhibit by one of the awards judges.
