Earrings:
These earrings are made with Akins' own image -- reproduced sections
of her watercolor painting, Brown Basket. The prints
have been glued to sturdy paper. They are protected with two to
three coats of clear acrylic, and mounted to pierced ear posts
with butterfly clasps. The beads are lilac colored glass, faux
pearl, and gold and copper washed metal.
