This pin is made with Akins' own image -- a hand colored original pencil drawing on graph paper. The image is glued to a heavy, stiff paper. Then it's protected with two to three coats of clear acrylic, and mounted to the pin backing. The beads are glass, faux pearl, and silver washed metal.
