These earrings are made with Akins' own image -- reproduced sections of her original colored pencil and ink drawing, Autumn Leaves . The prints are glued to sturdy paper; then protected with several coats of clear acrylic, and mounted to post earring backings with butterfly clasps. Beads are jade and gold washed metal.
