This barette is made with Akins' own image -- a reproduced section of her original watercolor painting, Still Life with Grape Pitcher . The print is glued to 1/8" thick plastic. Then it's protected with two to three coats of clear acrylic, and mounted to a sturdy 2.5" long metal barette clip.
